JRNY Digital is looking for a

Head of Performance

to lead our performance marketing division.

This is not a passive, “strategy only” leadership role. You’ll get in the trenches with your team and lead from the front - setting strategy, solving complex problems, mentoring performance specialists and helping our clients scale profitably.

You’ll collaborate across Paid Search, Paid Social, CRO, Creative, Email, and Strategy to lead integrated, high-performing campaigns. Think DTC ecom brands, lead gen for service-based businesses, and high-growth SaaS.

In This Role, You’ll:

Lead a team of media buyers and performance specialists - mentor, upskill and review their work

Create and drive high-level growth strategies across channels (and execute when needed)

Interface directly with clients to present results, insights and new opportunities

Collaborate with our teams to align messaging, offers and funnels

Monitor performance, diagnose issues and scale winners (not just “optimise” blindly)

Constantly test and improve landing pages, copy and creative performance

Report on key metrics, uncover insights and communicate performance stories that drive action

This Role Is For You If:

You have

5+ years experience

in performance marketing, with deep hands-on experience in paid media (Google and Meta are musts - others a bonus)

You’ve

led a team

before or mentored juniors and know how to get the best out of people

You’re not just a channel specialist - you

understand funnels, offers, messaging and CRO

You know how to

hit ROAS/CPA targets

while thinking long-term about brand growth

You’re deeply analytical but know how to

turn data into insights

and insights into actions

You’re a

strong communicator

who can simplify the complex for clientsYou can thrive in a fast-moving environment with

autonomy , not micromanagement

You’re growth-minded and constantly levelling up your craft and your team

Who You Are You’re someone who cares deeply about the craft, not just the dashboards. You think in systems, you communicate with clarity and you love solving problems that make other marketers sweat.

This role is Brisbane-based, with remote and hybrid flexibility for the right candidate.

We operate across Australian time zones and require overlap for team standups, client calls, reviews and performance collaboration. If you’re in Brisbane, you’re welcome to join us in person.

If you’re elsewhere in Australia, remote is absolutely fine as long as you bring strong communication and leadership presence.

Bonus Points If You Also Have:

Experience in managing >$100k/month in ad spend

Experience in E-commerce, B2B funnels, SaaS and/or high-ticket lead gen

A solid understanding of CRO and/or direct response copywriting

Experience with landing page testing and creative direction
