About This Role
The Directors of Physician Education (DPE) are responsible for all Basic Physician Trainees (BPTs) at Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) and delivering the highest standard of education and training, in accordance with the requirements of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, at all levels of the BPT program. The DPE will lead the Physician Training Unit and work with key stakeholders on all aspects of delivery of the BPT program including education, supervision and recruitment of BPTs and Principal House Officers (PHOs) trainees as well as evaluation, continuous improvement, and program redesign.
About You
FRACP or equivalent accepted by the RACP with specialist registration (or eligibility) as a medical specialist with the Medical Board of Australia
Certified copies of qualifications and registration must be provided before commencement
Demonstrated experience and expertise in RACP processes and requirements is essential.
Previous experience as a DPE or CMR is highly desirable.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant. We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment. We’re expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We’re adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
