Project Director

Project Director – Construction & Development We’re looking for an experienced Project Director with a background in construction, consulting, or client-side project management. This is a genuine opportunity for someone who’s ready to take the next step in their career and work toward equity and profit share in a growing business.

Our client is a medium-sized project and development delivery firm (25+ staff) headquartered in Melbourne, with offices across the eastern seaboard. Backed by a strong pipeline of 100+ active and future approved projects, they’re entering an exciting new growth phase and are seeking a senior leader to help drive the next chapter of their success.

About the Role You’ll lead and mentor a capable team while building trusted client relationships and driving project outcomes. Projects span commercial, retail, education, and medium-high rise residential sectors, from fit-outs to new builds up to $50M in value.

This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to someone who thrives on problem‑solving, strategic thinking, and delivering results.

What We’re Looking For

Proven client‑side or consulting project management experience (commercial buildings preferred) and projects local to the Melbourne market (this is a must)

Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills

A mentoring mindset and passion for developing teams

Ability to manage multiple projects from concept to completion

Solid understanding of project management software and feasibility modelling

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Calm under pressure, with a high level of discretion and professionalism

Confident, adaptable, and able to work with autonomy and flexibility
