Head of Finance

Head of Finance role, reporting to the CEO. Flexible / Part time role (with the possibility of full time at a later date).

EnableSearch is supporting a pioneering organisation at the intersection of medical innovation and advanced technology. From concept through to first-in-human prototypes, they partner with ambitious start-ups and established R&D teams to deliver impactful medical solutions.

Their multidisciplinary team combines clinical, technical, and commercial expertise to accelerate the path from idea to real-world application.

They’re seeking a commercially-minded Head of Finance to join the leadership team in a part-time capacity. This is a critical role for a strategic finance professional who can help guide the business through its next phase of growth.

You’ll provide high-level financial oversight, support key commercial decisions, and work closely with the executive team and Board to drive performance and long-term value creation.

The Head of Finance will supervise accounting duties, including maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, analysing financial data, and assisting with budget preparation.

The ideal candidate must be detail‑oriented, have strong organisational and communication skills, and be able to work independently.

In addition, the Head of Finance will be a highly adaptable individual ready to face the ever‑changing environment of a growing start‑up.

The Head of Finance will report to the CEO.

Responsibilities

Lead financial strategy, forecasting, and planning

Oversee budgeting, cash flow, and management reporting

Support pricing, project costing, and investment analysis

Ensure regulatory and financial compliance

Supervise outsourced bookkeeping and payroll management

Partner with the CEO and leadership team on strategic initiatives

Prepare board reports and support stakeholder engagement
