Key responsibilities

Lead and develop the Transport Engineering team across the APAC region, ensuring consistently high engineering standards

Manage the regional engineering operations and contribute to business planning and budgeting

Drive talent development including recruitment, performance management, and team capability building

Act as technical authority for transport engineering solutions, guiding teams on best-practice approaches

Build and maintain strong working relationships with deugro regional branches, key subcontractors, and clients

Support business development through technical input to proposals, tenders, and client presentations

Review and approve transport concepts, feasibility studies, method statements, and execution plans for heavy lift and over-dimensional cargo

Oversee risk assessments and ensure transport solutions comply with applicable technical, safety, and quality standards

Ensure compliance with QHSES requirements and relevant international regulations

Support internal knowledge sharing and technical training when required

Skills, knowledge and expertise

Degree in Engineering or relevant naval / maritime technical background

Minimum 7 years of experience in transport engineering, including leadership responsibility

Strong expertise in heavy lift and project cargo transport engineering across multiple transport modes

In-depth knowledge of international standards and regulations (e.g. DNV, IMO, DIN EN 12195-1)

Proven experience leading multicultural teams across different countries or regions

Strong commercial awareness and experience working alongside sales and business development teams

Excellent analytical, solution-oriented mindset with high technical credibility

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Proficiency with relevant engineering tools and standard business software

Fluent in English; German is an advantage

Willingness and ability to travel frequently within APAC
