About the role
Take over a medium sized team split between analysts, GRC and engineers across a business of over 1000 staff. This is a replacement from the CISO who has been in the business for around 3 years, in place is a strategy along with a yearly budget to complete uplift and new tooling implementations.
The initial focus on this role will be ensuring they maintain their regulatory compliance with APRA while keeping their various project streams on track. As the CISO, you will have full ownership of the budget, board level interaction quarterly and the ability to shape the vision of the function for the future.

Duties
Complete ownership of the cyber security function
Lead a mid sized team through both uplift and BAU
External vendor management and selection
Strategic leadership of the security function
Board reporting, budget planning and ownership
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you will need to have prior leadership experience in a financial service environment
Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and experience
Previous leadership of teams above 10 people in size
Budget ownership and forecasting experience
Experience working through audit and uplift to maintain APRA, ISO or similar requirements
Excellent Communication skills - written and verbal
Prior experience presenting to board and completing board papers
Industry certifications are highly regarded
