This is a senior-level role supporting the CRO in risk & compliance frameworks, day to day compliance training and reporting along with governance and regulatory obligations.

The Role Reporting into the CRO, you will play a key role in supporting the risk & compliance frameworks and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Partnering with business units to facilitate risk and compliance activities, including risk workshops and control assessments

Leading the delivery of the second line controls assurance program, including control design effectiveness reviews and Control Self-Assessments

Supporting the development and ongoing execution of a fit-for-purpose Line 2 assurance framework

Reviewing Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), thresholds and trends, and preparing analysis and reporting for senior management and governance committees

Monitoring and reporting on remediation of internal audit findings and other assurance activities

Preparing risk reporting for Board, Committee and Executive audiences

Supporting the effective use and maturity of the enterprise risk and compliance management system, including data quality and business training

Coordinating governance forums, including agenda setting, paper collation and meeting administration

Overseeing the maintenance and periodic review of the policy framework, identifying opportunities for simplification and efficiency

The ideal candidate:

Demonstrated experience delivering controls assurance or controls uplift programs

Exposure to funds management, asset management, superannuation or broader financial services

Strong governance capability within regulated environments (APRA, ASIC, OAIC, AFCA, etc.)

The ability to provide effective challenge while maintaining constructive stakeholder relationships

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear governance-level reporting

Well-developed organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
