Job Description
Bravery Trust is a national charity that supports members of the Australian Defence Force who are experiencing financial hardship.
Through providing financial counselling, education and assistance, we empower veterans and their families to achieve financial security and improve their lives. The impact our work has in this sector continues to drive demand for the services we provide.
The role
We have a strong, established brand with purpose‑led storytelling and communications assets and a range of successful fundraising activities in place, including partnerships, high‑profile events and campaigns that continue to build year on year.
This role leads a small, highly capable team that we expect will grow as your fundraising strategy delivers increased revenue through optimised and expanded fundraising stream activity.
We're looking to welcome a strategic fundraising and engagement leader who can continue to build our internal capability to lift our fundraising revenue, so we can continue to deliver impact and expand the support we provide to veterans and their families.
As a national organisation, this role requires semi‑regular domestic travel.
About you
Leading a growing team, you will bring your extensive fundraising and communications expertise to develop and execute a fundraising strategy that maximises revenue generation, continues building brand recognition and fosters strong relationships with donors, sponsors, and key stakeholders.
You will be known for your strong, active Federal and Defence networks, outstanding communication, influencing and interpersonal skills, and effectively establishing credibility with stakeholders.
You will have a track record of innovative, brand‑aligned fundraising and engagement practices that deliver a strong return on investment, and you'll thrive on the challenge of taking your organisation towards financial self‑sustainability.
Whilst not essential, if you have experience from or working with the Defence or Veteran sector, this will be advantageous.
If you enjoy taking something that’s already good and building it into something great and can take a team along on the journey with you, we’d love to talk!
In return
In addition to a competitive salary, including NFP salary packaging, you'll enjoy the flexibility of our fully‑remote work model, twice yearly all‑staff get‑togethers, professional development, and a work culture where our impact is regularly shared and celebrated.
Bravery Trust employees are required to have a valid police check and working with children check.
