Job Description
As a Senior Structural Engineer (5+ years' experience) or Structural Engineer (3+ years' experience) in our QLD Structural team, your impact will be in the successful delivery of technically complex structural brownfield and greenfield projects for resources and water infrastructure clients.
You will be responsible for:
Manage and/or support projects at various lifecycle stages related to resources, roads, drainage, dams, water treatment plants, storm water management and heavy industrial developments.
Undertaking technical project works including structural calculations, design and review of drawings, specifications, estimates and reports.
Providing technical expertise and advice through all stages of the project lifecycle from feasibility studies, detailed design, condition assessments and construction support works associated with concrete, precast and steelwork structures.
Manage project work technically and contractually to ensure that it meets technical requirements
Financial management of projects by monitoring the actual time and cost expended on the total project against the budget, informing client of any changes in scope of work or other causes of variances from project resources
Participating in client management and supporting broader business development activities for the QLD structural team
Qualifications
Ideally, you will have a minimum of 3+ years professional experience with demonstrated technical expertise delivering projects in sectors such as resources and infrastructure within a consultancy environment.
You will also have:
Tertiary qualifications in Civil (Structural) Engineering degree or similar
CPEng and/or RPEQ high desired
Strong knowledge and application of local standards, Australian standards and statutory and regulatory requirements relating to structural design and engineering
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in water and civil infrastructure design, drainage, stormwater and dams
Demonstrated knowledge in heavy industrial structural design
Proficiency with Spacegass and Strand7 software advantageous
Aspirations to grow your professional career and a good attitude toward mentoring junior engineers
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage stakeholders at all levels
