Overview:
Precisely is seeking a technically adept, seasoned Senior Pre-Sales Consultant to join their expanding APAC Data Integrity team. You must have experience in solutions that focus on one or more or data governance, data quality, data integration, location intelligence and data enrichment strategies. Engage with prospects to understand their business and technical challenges, relate them to Precisely product capabilities, and prepare compelling demonstrations of the Precisely value to prospects, along with implementing technical proof-of-concepts. This individual will be comfortable working in a result driven, highly motivated sales team. There will be significant opportunity to influence product design and positioning, with an ideal candidate being a thoughtful and persuasive contributor.
What you will do:
Collaborate and work positively and effectively with Sales team as well as cross functional groups in Delivery, Engineering, Marketing and Product Management
Lead business and technical discovery process to fully understand customers business requirements
Prepare and provide input for RFPs/RFQs
Deliver compelling demonstrations for all data quality products, conduct PoCs, Assisted Trials and other relevant presales activities
Be able to clearly articulate the value of any recommended solution to customers, across all levels (C-level to technical)
Establish excellent personal relationships with customers and partners
Work with partners to develop and support their go to market data quality proposition, training and sales activities
Display a high level of technical expertise/experience, understand performance characteristics and establish credibility with customers and partners
Work with internal stakeholders for alignment of solution with customers/partners business requirements
What we are looking for:
Five or more years presales experience in one or more data management disciplines such as: data governance, data quality, MDM, ETL, data migrations, BI reporting, cloud ecosystems, data lakes, big data, location intelligence, spatial analytics
Strong domain expertise in modern cloud stack. at least one of the following: AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, containerization
Excellent relationship-building, presentation and communication skills, written and verbal in English
Proven experience of effective support for closing deals with enterprise / multi-national corporations
Passion for hands‑on solving of challenging data topics, and advising customers on their data integrity journey
Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and Linux/Windows knowledge
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Management or other related technology disciplines. (Candidates with non‑technical degrees or relevant work experience will be considered if able to demonstrate sufficient technical proficiency and expertise)
Hands‑on experience one or more of enterprise Data Quality, Data Governance, Location Intelligence, spatial analytics, data enrichment
Experience from working in Hadoop/Spark or cloud ecosystem: Cloudera CDP, Databricks, Snowflake, GCP, Azure, AWS
Hands‑on experience with BI reporting tools: Tableau, Power BI, Qlik
This role would require 20% travel within Australia and nearby APAC countries.
