About the Opportunity We are seeking two experienced Senior Mechanical Engineers to join a our highly sought client. These roles offer the chance to contribute to the design, development, and technical assurance of key water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the state. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert engineering advice, design input, and project support for studies and infrastructure initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-level technical investigation, design, review, and advisory services for mechanical systems.

Provide mechanical engineering support across major projects, including pipelines, pump stations, and water treatment plants.

Contribute to the development and review of technical standards and design documentation.

Support the implementation of Safety in Design (SiD) principles across all project phases.

Liaise with stakeholders, consultants, and contractors to ensure fit-for-purpose, cost‑effective outcomes.

About You To succeed in this role, you will bring :

Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) accreditation – essential.

Demonstrated mechanical engineering experience in the water industry , ideally across pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities (wastewater experience highly regarded).

Proven ability in the design and specification of mechanical components such as pumps, valves, and filtration systems.

Strong hydraulic knowledge , including :

Pump selection and system design

Surge modelling and mitigation

Sizing of surge vessels, PSVs, and PRV

Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
