Centre Manager - Retail Asset (Inner West CBD)

About our client Our client is a well‑established specialist retail property management group managing a diversified portfolio of privately owned retail and commercial assets in Perth’s inner west. With a strong focus on asset performance, tenant outcomes and practical execution, they operate a hands‑on, on‑site management model on behalf of engaged owners.

About the Role This is a hands‑on Centre Manager role, suited to someone who enjoys being on site, driving outcomes and leading a team to action.

You will take responsibility for a stabilised retail asset in Perth’s inner‑west CBD. The portfolio is supported by an on‑site Assistant Centre Manager, Facilities Manager and part‑time Marketing Manager, with the team based full‑time on site.

The focus of this role is delivery rather than strategy. The owner is seeking a Centre Manager who can roll up their sleeves, progress projects, mentor and upskill the team, and provide regular, clear updates on activity across the portfolio. You will be highly visible on site, close to the detail, and accountable for ensuring momentum across operations, facilities, compliance and tenant engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Take full responsibility for the day‑to‑day management of a stabilised retail asset and associated commercial properties.

Lead, mentor and upskill the on‑site Centre Management team, many of whom are early in their careers.

Drive action on operational matters, projects, maintenance and risk items, ensuring outcomes are delivered.

Maintain strong relationships with tenants, contractors, consultants and ownership stakeholders.

Oversee budgets, forecasts, outgoings, arrears and financial performance across the portfolio.

Work closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure compliance, WHS and building standards are met.

Provide regular, practical updates to ownership on progress, issues and completed works.

Support leasing and marketing activity in collaboration with internal and external partners.

About You

Proven experience as a Centre Manager or senior Retail / Commercial Property Manager.

A practical, delivery‑focused mindset.

Confident leading and developing junior team members through hands‑on guidance and mentoring.

Strong operational, financial and organisational capability across retail and commercial assets.

Comfortable being on site full‑time and highly visible across the portfolio.

Clear, confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.

A current driver’s licence.
