About the opportunity
Our Enterprise Strategy team leads the delivery of Australia Post’s Post26 enterprise strategy and supports Business Units with major initiatives, strategic planning, and organisational transformation. The team develops strategic initiatives, builds strategic capabilities across Australia Post, and provides enterprise leadership through strategic thinking.
In this role, you will contribute to developing future strategic options, inform the corporate planning process, shape the Post30 Strategy, and support stakeholder engagement.
What you’ll deliver with us
To ensure Australia Post remains future-focused and ready for external forces, competition, and market changes, this team is responsible for maintaining the Enterprise Strategy through annual reviews, prioritisation, and fostering close collaboration with key stakeholders.
You’ll also
Partner with the GM of Strategy to develop the strategic direction and develop the Enterprise strategy team
Partner with the Finance teams to ensure Corporate Plan aligns with Post26 / Post30 Strategy whilst also meeting our Legislative/ Regulatory requirements
Work with the P&L Business Units (Parcels & Letters and Retail & Services) to design, develop and/or deliver specific initiatives to achieve the strategy
Address enterprise-wide strategic issues or support the business to develop or deliver critical strategies (e.g., network operations, retail network, customer, digital, product, competitive response)
Develop and lead a team to deliver the Enterprise strategy objectives. This includes taking an active role in materials development, analysis and stakeholder management
Ensure our strategy remains relevant & works with the Extended Leadership Team to adjust the strategy accordingly
Work with the Extended Leadership Team to develop the Post30 Strategy, leveraging the Post26 Strategy as a foundation and building on the long-term cross-functional programs
Prepare the materials for the Board sessions and works with the Extended Leadership Team to develop materials
About you
Tertiary qualifications in Business / Commerce, Economics, Engineering, or other relevant field (preferably MBA/ MA in a numerate discipline)
Experience working in management consultancy and leading teams
Ability to frame and structure problems, undertake quantitative & financial business analysis, and extracting insights, particularly in areas of ambiguity
Ability to manage complex projects and multiple simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
Knowledge of eCommerce, parcel / postal services, logistics, retail, financial services, government services industry viewed favourably but not essential
