They are responsible for world-class high-end production value movies and tv series across the globe which have also collected some awards. They are now looking for an experienced CFO to join their company in Australia. Scope of the Role

As Chief Financial Officer you will be part of the executive leadership team along side Founder & CEO, and Vice President where you will possesses an in-depth understanding of the unique financial challenges within the film production industry. You will play a critical role in shaping the company’s financial strategy, managing risks, and optimising the financial performance across their studios. Responsibilities

Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's short-term and long-term objectives. Oversee financial forecasting, improve visibility of overall company's budgeting, and reporting processes, ensuring alignment with the company's goals. Manage project budgeting and cost control for production to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Identify cost‑saving opportunities and streamline processes to enhance financial efficiency. Evaluate and manage financial risks, including currency fluctuations, interest rates, and changes in production costs. Develop strategies for mitigating financial risks associated with production delays and market volatility. Oversee revenue generation strategies, including licensing, partnerships, and other income streams unique to the film industry. Work closely with sales and distribution teams to optimise revenue from domestic and international markets. Act as a key liaison with investors, producers, and financial institutions, presenting clear and concise financial information to stakeholders. Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Collaborate cross‑functionally to support the business in achieving its strategic and operational goals. Whats on Offer and the ideal applicants

You will be a proven financial leader in the film industry that has handled the complexities of multiple different productions and assets. Similar industries that are acceptable are: computer/mobile games industry either indies or AAA studios where you are managing multiple IP's to ship High‑end event or entertainment production companies Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
