Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)
in Western Australia offer support, advice and treatment to children and adolescents from birth to 18 years who are experiencing mental health challenges.

About the Role:
The
Consultant Clinical Psychologist
leadership role provides strategic direction, expert consultancy, and professional oversight in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of child and adolescent mental health services across Western Australia. The position is responsible for advancing clinical standards, guiding service development, leading research initiatives, and ensuring governance and quality compliance. It also plays a pivotal role in workforce development, training, and supervision of clinical psychology staff.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing strategic and expert advice regarding mental health professional development, policy development and planning and evaluation of child and adolescent mental health services and standards within CAMHS
Providing professional/expert level consultation to clinical psychologists, other health professionals in the state, and may include teaching clinical skills to other clinical psychologists
Conducting or facilitating research of a significant nature, which would influence the delivery of child and adolescent mental health services in the state and demonstrate ongoing involvement.
Liaising with relevant professional organisations, other health professionals, government and non‑government agencies and Universities to instigate contemporary practice models in their area.
