Scouts SA is seeking a Finance and Payroll Manager to lead a finance team and oversee the day-to-day finance deliverables. The role reports directly to the CFO and partners with the commercial business, support services and volunteers in providing financial results and insights. The Finance and Payroll Manager is responsible for delivering the monthly financial reporting, facilitating the budgeting process and taking an active lead in finance projects. This role will ensure the financial health and compliance of Scouts SA and will work collaboratively with the wider finance team.
The successful applicant will have a continuous improvement mindset, be self-motivated and drive efficiencies within the finance team as well as supporting projects, process enhancements and whole of business initiatives. You’ll join a passionate team driven by our dedication to creating a positive impact for South Australian youth and communities.
Job Description
Your responsibilities include:
Team leadership
Month-end reporting including P&L, Balance Sheet
AP / AR management
Daily cash management and cashflow forecasting
Investment reporting
Facilitate budget / forecasting for whole of business
Supporting year-end reporting and audit requirements
Finance business partnering with key stakeholders
Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
Implementationand monitoring of financial controls
Supporting financial compliance requirements i.e. GST, FBT
Management of finance projects
Ongoing process improvement
Desired Skills and Experience
About you:
Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ) / Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA)
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
Experienced in financial reporting and budgeting
Comprehensive understanding of Australian accounting standards and compliance
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Proactive and continuous improvement mindset
Essential checks(we will support you to acquire if you don't already have them, or if they have expired)
