ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced
Senior LOM Scheduling Engineer
to join our Technical Services team. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining integrated Life of Mine (LOM) production schedules across both Open Pit and Underground operations.
You will play a key role in linking planning teams, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring production targets are achieved through accurate forecasting, optimisation, and scenario analysis. The position supports medium- and long-term business planning while promoting safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
DUTIES
Develop and maintain LOM production schedules using Deswik, including annual budgets, 0+12 forecasts, and long-term project schedules.
Prepare, present, and report on long-term and project schedules for major mining operations.
Conduct scenario modelling and project evaluations to support business planning.
Develop business cases, including data analysis, reporting, and approval processes.
Support due diligence activities and M&A investigations where required.
Identify mine scheduling optimisation and continuous improvement opportunities.
Contribute to safety meetings and promote a strong safety culture.
Ensure all visitors and stakeholders comply with site safety standards.
Identify and report hazards and safety issues.
Undertake other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering (or equivalent).
Experience in mining feasibility studies.
Bilingual English and Chinese skills (preferred).
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Strong understanding of both Open Pit and Underground mining operations.
Proven experience in LOM production scheduling and forecasting.
Knowledge of mine planning, geology, and mining engineering principles.
Understanding of gold processing methods (CIL, flotation, heap leach).
Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and mining regulations.
Highly developed analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
Ability to deliver complex technical presentations.
Strong risk assessment and control capability.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Advanced experience with Deswik (essential).
Strong capability in Microsoft Excel, Word, and presentation tools.
Experience with mining and business management systems.
