Senior Credit Officer

We are seeking a proactive, hands-on Senior Accounts Receivable & Credit Officer to join our high-performing finance team. This is a key role within the accounts receivable function, responsible for driving strong debtor outcomes and setting best-practice standards for disciplined, professional credit control across the business. You will play a critical role supporting both Accounts Receivable and Collections, with a primary focus on credit assessments, reporting, process improvement, and ensuring strict adherence to company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities

Conduct credit assessments for new and existing customers Ensure accurate and timely customer onboarding and account setup in line with service-level agreements. Manage debt collection activities, including direct engagement with customers, solicitors, and external collection agencies. Monitor customer credit exposure, enforce credit terms and limits, and proactively elevate potential risks or policy breaches. Support month‑end close processes, including reporting, reconciliations, and account analysis. Prepare and present reports on debtor performance and team KPIs. Mentor and support AR team members, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Assist in resolving disputed invoices and payment issues in collaboration with internal stakeholders. About You

Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Accounts Receivable or Credit Control Proven experience managing end‑to‑end AR and debtor ledgers, with demonstrated success in improving debtor performance. Strong customer service mindset with excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Advanced skills in Microsoft 365, including Excel, Copilot, and Power Automate. Solid understanding of credit risk and collections processes Highly analytical, detail‑oriented, and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
