Overview Challenging, meaningful, life‑changing work awaits at Bristol Myers Squibb. The Marketing Strategy Lead drives in‑line marketing and promotional strategy for healthcare practitioners, ensuring tactical execution to achieve brand objectives within the Cardiovascular therapeutic area.

Position Summary The Marketing Strategy Lead is a core member of the brand team, responsible for building and implementing omnichannel brand strategy that aligns with overarching brand goals. The role owns the entire customer journey, from insight gathering and data analysis to campaign execution and performance measurement, in close collaboration with Medical, Access, Sales, and other cross‑functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Build and deliver a unified brand strategy that drives growth of the Cardiovascular portfolio.

Own end‑to‑end customer journeys, integrating insights from advanced analytics and market research to refine customer segments and channel selection.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Medical, Access, Sales, OCE, BI&A) to translate insights into compliant campaign concepts.

Plan and deliver content across all channels, managing agencies and ensuring alignment with brand imperatives.

Maintain modular content production and rapid, personalized communication for engaged HCP audiences.

Define and monitor performance metrics, using engagement and performance feedback to enhance future campaigns.

Manage commercial spend and coordinate investments to maximize ROI and brand performance, ensuring full compliance with laws, regulations, and BMS standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Prior marketing experience with a proven track record of leading and executing HCP‑focused strategies.

Experience in cardiovascular preferred but not mandatory.

Deep understanding of patient journeys, preferences, and needs in cardiology.

Fluency in interpreting BI&A analytical models to translate insights into actionable strategies.

Familiarity with omnichannel and modular content production.

Strong cross‑functional relationship skills and ability to collaborate with Medical, Access, Sales, and new capability centers.

Demonstrated leadership and team‑lead experience.

Knowledge of the Australian healthcare system, regulations, and governing bodies.

Excellent communication, influencing, coaching, and negotiation skills.

Key Competencies Desired

Scientific agility to quickly learn clinical data and translate scientific evidence into commercial strategy.

Insights and analytical fluency to identify market trends, customer behavior, and competitive dynamics.

Access acumen to optimize patient access and affordability through economic and clinical value propositions.

Strategic thinking and articulation to prioritize opportunities, track performance, and shape the commercialization narrative.

Data‑driven customer experience design using omnichannel capabilities and emerging technologies.

Financial and business acumen for P&L, budgeting, and ROI optimization.
