Legal Counsel

Beacon Legal have partnered with a leading Australian construction business in their search for a new Legal Counsel. They are looking to hire someone at the 4-6 PQE level, to be based in their Melbourne office. We’re seeking a proactive and commercially minded construction lawyer to work closely with the senior lawyer on providing legal advice to the wider business. This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad mix of transactional, projects and regulated legal matters in a business playing a key role in the construction space. About the Role Providing commercially focused legal advice across construction and project-related matters Support the business on contractual, compliance and regulatory issues arising across project delivery and operations Provide legal support on tenders and new work opportunities, across a range of procurement and contracting models Assist in identifying and managing legal and commercial risk across construction projects Support the management of claims, disputes and issue resolution, including engagement with external advisers where required Help the business navigate complex project environments, working closely with commercial and delivery teams What type of person will be successful?
