We have partnered with a rapidly expanding global clinical laboratory services organisation who need an ambitious, hungry and hunter mentality‑driven sales professional to strengthen their services across Australia. This is a seriously high‑earning potential opportunity!
As the Senior Director, Business Development, you will be responsible for securing new business from biotech companies within Australia. You will use your vast experience to sell and promote a strong portfolio of central laboratory and clinical trial support services while building strong relationships across the drug development arena. You will need to be comfortable working under your own initiative, as this position is fully remote and can be based anywhere in Australia; the Melbourne area is preferred but other strategic locations will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify high‑value market opportunities and win new business from established and emerging biotech companies.
Collaborate with executive leadership to shape commercial strategy, expansion initiatives and go‑to‑market positioning.
Deliver strong year‑on‑year performance supported by clear metrics, revenue achievements, and contextualised results.
Represent the organisation throughout the sales lifecycle, including presentations, bids/proposal defences, and client meetings.
Build and manage a high‑value, well‑qualified pipeline.
Collaborate closely with internal scientific, operational, and commercial teams.
About you:
Proven track record of exceeding sales targets within
clinical laboratory, clinical trial support services
or CRO environments.
Hunter‑style BD mentality
with evidence of consistent high performance.
Strong experience selling into established and emerging biotechnology businesses.
Ability to articulate your achievements clearly, including quotas, revenue delivered, and relative performance.
Excellent communication skills and a strategic commercial mindset.
