About the role
As the Legal Operations Manager , you will support the Legal Senior Leadership Team (SLT) by providing strategic and operational leadership across the Legal function. You will focus on improving efficiency, strengthening governance, reducing risk, and enabling the Legal team to deliver on its strategic objectives. You will play a key role in enhancing how Legal partners with and supports the broader business.
Day to day you will:
Provide strategic planning, financial, project and technology portfolio expertise to help the Legal team and ART manage risk, monitor compliance, adopt technology and deliver value.
Act as a trusted business partner to Legal by identifying automation opportunities, optimising use of service providers, reducing costs and leveraging emerging technologies such as AI and self‑service workflows.
Support the General Counsel as the business manager for Legal, fostering strong relationships with Technology, Finance, People & Culture and other ART teams.
Oversee the Legal team’s technology portfolio, systems and tools in partnership with Technology Services.
Coordinate Legal team collaboration and engagement activities on behalf of the General Counsel.
Ensure disciplined and sustainable financial management and reporting, including oversight of ART’s Legal Panel.
Drive consistent use of Xakia matter management, enabling team‑wide practices, reporting and insights to improve Legal workflows and performance.

About you
It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top‑notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:
Bachelor of Computer Science (or equivalent) and/or Bachelor of Laws.
Extensive experience in a Legal Operations, Legal Technology or similar role within a large, complex organisation.
Strong experience with content management systems, including a deep understanding of version control, file permissions and retention policies.
Proven ability to identify Legal’s operational needs, build effective stakeholder relationships, and define resource requirements, project workflows, budgets and billing arrangements.
Demonstrated hands‑on experience using Power BI and SharePoint to deliver meaningful reporting, insights and information management solutions.
