Peninsula Vet Emergency & Referral Hospital is seeking an experienced ECC Locum Veterinarian to join our multidisciplinary referral hospital on a fixed-term contract .

You’ll be working in a true referral environment where emergency cases are exactly that — emergencies. Our hospital brings together ECC, surgery, anaesthesia, and an attached GP clinic, ensuring a high-acuity and rewarding caseload.

24/7 emergency and referral services across ECC, surgery, and anaesthesia

A highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team including specialists, registrars, and experienced ECC clinicians

Exposure to advanced ECC cases including trauma, ventilator patients, critical anaesthetics, transfusions, chest drains, central lines, and more

A supportive, progressive, and genuinely fun team culture

Coastal living on the Mornington Peninsula — minutes from beaches, wineries, and bushland trails, and just one hour from Melbourne

About You

3+ years of emergency practice experience (preferred)

Confidence managing emergency presentations and performing emergency procedures (or strong motivation to develop these skills with specialist support)

Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management skills

A genuine passion for ECC and high-quality patient care

Interest in teaching and mentoring is welcomed — we are a University of Melbourne core rotation site
