Job Description

We're lookout for a confident, passionate barista to join our internal café operations and keep our team fuelled and smiling throughout the day.

You will be central to our in-house café, which serves as the social centre of our Melbourne office. We take pride in the quality and impact of our work and are looking for a proactive barista who shares these values.

This full-time role is based in central Melbourne, with hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm. That's right… your weekends are all yours.

What you'll do

Running the café day-to-day, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

Crafting top-tier coffee and collaborating with our Head Chef to deliver a delicious, balanced food offering.

Creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere and building genuine relationships with our regulars.

Managing POS systems, updating menus, and preparing reports.

Handling stock, ordering supplies, and processing invoices.

Keeping documentation, finances, and communications in order.

Training team members in coffee skills and supporting the Front of House Supervisor with admin and reporting tasks.

Pitching in with the Client Services Team when needed, including occasional after-hours support.

Promoting a safe and respectful workplace by upholding WHS responsibilities.

What you'll bring

Proven experience as a barista with a passion for great coffee.

Friendly, engaging communication style and strong interpersonal skills.

A proactive mindset and problem-solving ability.

A drive to continuously improve the café experience.

Positive energy and the ability to build rapport with customers.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office and POS systems (or similar software).

An innovative mindset, curious about AI and emerging technologies.
