Responsibilities
Lead and collaborate with key stakeholders across Deakin to achieve shared goals and drive collective success.
Champion innovation, adaptability and continuous improvement in alignment with the University’s Strategic Plan and functional strategies.
Build and maintain strong partnerships with research leaders and industry to enhance Deakin’s reputation and strategic opportunities.
Provide inspirational leadership to the Business Development and Commercialisation team fostering collaboration, capability growth and innovation.
Oversee effective communication, accountability and reporting to ensure initiatives align with strategic priorities and deliver measurable outcomes.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications and experience at the appropriate level with a proven record of delivering strategic initiatives that drive measurable impact.
Strong leadership, people and resource management skills including the ability to build high‑performing teams and lead organisational change.
Deep understanding of contemporary discipline trends and the capability to apply innovative strategies that advance organisational objectives.
Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships across diverse internal and external stakeholders.
A flexible results‑focused approach demonstrating sound judgement, adaptability and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes in complex fast‑paced environments.
