About the role
As the Head of Property, you will be an active member of the Senior Leadership Team, overseeing the management of the property and facilities team to drive outcomes across a diverse national portfolio. Your role involves ensuring high standards in property management, compliance, and tenant satisfaction while collaborating and providing leadership to the property team.
Responsibilities
Manage and lead the property team in all property management activities
Work collaboratively with the Asset Executive Team to formulate and execute asset management plans and strategies, including detailed leasing assumptions, operating expense and CAPEX budgets
Contribute to and participate in reporting processes across the portfolio to monitor the compliance, financial and operational performance of the assets
Oversee all leasing activities, including the formulation of leasing strategies, negotiation of new leases and renewals, rent reviews, and the management of lease assignments and vacates
Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, providing recommendations on issues with commercial impact
Liaise with lawyers, including General Counsel, in relation to property transactions and issues
Participate in Due Diligence, Acquisition and Disposal processes for property transactions
Drive continuous process improvement to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve service quality
Assist in the development and training of other members of the property team
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
8+ years' experience in property management (ideally within funds management)
Demonstrated ability in the effective management of a large, diverse property portfolio (retail/commercial/industrial)
A bachelor's degree, ideally in property, will be highly regarded
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
Excellent leadership, with the ability to coach and develop a team
Strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills for sound decision-making
Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with a willingness to keep others informed
High attention to detail, an organised and systematic approach, with a focus on planning, time management, and meeting deadlines
Proactive and takes ownership of work, with the initiative to resolve issues independently
