Overview

Back End Staff Software Engineer (Bangkok based, Relocation provided) This role is part of Agoda's Back-End Engineering team, focused on building scalable, fault-tolerant systems and APIs that host core business logic across inventory, pricing, product information, customer data, communications, partner data, booking systems, payments, and more. Responsibilities

Develop performance-critical backend applications in production environments using languages such as Scala, Java, Kotlin, C#, Go or other modern languages. Design and drive significant company-wide projects and set technical vision. Implement advanced CI/CD pipelines and robust testing strategies to ensure seamless integration, deployment, and high code quality. Make architectural decisions and set standards and direction for the team. Collaborate with global teams to deliver reliable and scalable services with high availability. Qualifications

10+ years of experience developing performance-critical applications in production environments using Scala, Java, Kotlin, C#, Go or relevant modern programming languages. Strong RDBMS knowledge (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or other). Ability to direct significant company-wide projects and set technical vision. Good command of the English language. Experience in architectural decision-making and setting technical standards for the team. Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and robust testing strategies. Passion for software development and continuous improvement of knowledge and skills. Nice to Have

Knowledge in NoSQL, Queueing systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, MSMQ), and Play framework. Location & Relocation
