About the Role

We have an excellent opportunity for a

Legal & Compliance Counsel

to join the outstanding ANZ Legal Team based in Melbourne

on contract (9-12 months) . Reporting to the

General Counsel/Co Secretary

and working closely with

C-suite , you will be supporting a diverse range of businesses and stakeholders, providing legal, risk & compliance support & advice. The ANZ Legal Team forms part of the collegiate

Global Legal Team .

Skills & Experience

Ideally 4-7 yrs PAE

with Australian experience essential

A

generalist commercial Lawyer

who has worked with one of Australia's highly regarded law firms &/or a large corporate environment.

Skilled in commercial law, compliance, consumer law, claims & disputes

Preferable skills in developing and executing compliance strategy, assessing compliance risks, reviewing and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, compliance auditing and training

Exceptional stakeholder management skills, outstanding communication skills and high level of commercial acumen.
