Accountabilities
Responsible for design, implementation, and operations of control system infrastructure
Manage PPC, HMI, and RTU programming including technical documentation
Support day‑to‑day plant automation tasks ensuring network reliability
Provide technical support and analyze complex reported operation technology problems
Oversee network technology upgrades and expansion projects
Participate in on‑field construction and plant commissioning activities
Serve as subject matter expert for control and instrumentation systems
Collaborate with internal groups and external EPC vendors during project phases
Requirements
Minimum BA/BS in a related field; electrical engineering degree preferred
5+ years of related industry experience, preferably in renewable energy
Knowledge of battery energy storage systems and their applications
Expertise in designing and maintaining plant control systems using SCADA and PLC platforms
Understanding of data logging requirements and historian platforms
Experience with Inductive Automation Ignition and Schneider Electric Modicon PLCs
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols like DNP3.0, Modbus, OPC‑UA, MQTT
Programming experience in Python, IEC 61131‑3, C, C++, C#
Proficient in writing technical specifications for process or manufacturing equipment
Strong understanding of cyber‑security best practices in IT/OT standards
Knowledge of NERC/CIP/NIST procedures
Ability to articulate complex technical analyses clearly and effectively
Demonstrated ability to work in cross‑functional environments
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
