Lead Cloud Engineer

Overview

Lead Cloud Engineer role at Macquarie Group within the Banking and Financial Services Cloud Technology team. You will contribute to a full lifecycle team building and maintaining automation tooling and distributed Kubernetes-based platforms, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS). We build automated, extensible and secure cloud capabilities underpinning our Digital Bank, using approaches such as HashiCorp Vault, Kubernetes Operators, ArgoCD, in-house Go Operators, and cloud platforms on GCP & AWS. What role will you play?

You will provide technical leadership in architecture, design, development, testing and operations to deliver solutions incrementally. You will mentor other engineers and promote engineering best practices. What You Offer

2-5 years of experience with the Go programming language 3+ years of experience with hyperscale cloud providers (preferably GCP) in enterprise environments Strong experience in platform engineering, enabling cloud services for consumption by application teams Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to ascertain stakeholder requirements Real-world experience in supporting production applications Experience with GitOps (ArgoCD) and declarative infrastructure as code (kustomize, Helm, or Terraform) Familiarity with secrets management platforms or technologies (e.g., HashiCorp Vault) What We Offer
