Head of IT Infrastructure & Security - Abu Dhabi Based

Role is based full time in Abu Dhabi; would need perm relocation Reporting directly to the CIO

Job Description

Lead Infrastructure & Security across a multi site ecosystem

Own infrastructure performance, resilience, scalability, and digital safety

Modernise bandwidth, backbone, and network architecture

Lead predominantly cloud-first environment (minimal on-prem / data centre oversight)

Shift from reactive operations to proactive capacity planning and roadmap design

Strengthen monitoring, governance, identity controls, and SOC integration

Ensure no avoidable outages, breaches, or operational surprises

Define and enforce SLAs and service performance standards

Rebuild stakeholder trust through proactive communication

Build accountable, performance driven team culture

Provide structured proposals and forward‑looking recommendations to CIO

Demonstrate hands‑on leadership (not purely delegative)

The Successful Applicant

12+ years Infrastructure & Security experience

5+ years leading Infrastructure and/or Security teams

Current or recent Head of Infrastructure / Infrastructure & Security leader

Experience in complex multi-site environments

Proven track record modernising infrastructure strategy and improving service delivery

Strong network, bandwidth, backbone, and cloud experience

Practical exposure to monitoring, identity controls, safeguarding, and SOC alignment

Service-oriented, stakeholder confident, technically credible

Modern, proactive, outcome-driven leadership style

Retail, Healthcare, Hospitality or other multi-site customer‑centric sectors are advantageous
