Quality Manager – Wilson Transformer Company

is an opportunity to lead quality across the Power Transformer Business Unit based in Melbourne. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the highest standards of product and process quality across the full project lifecycle—from design and manufacturing to delivery and installation. The role reports to the General Manager and leads a small team of quality professionals to promote a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

Champion quality across the business unit, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and business objectives Manage and maintain our Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards Lead, develop and support a small team of quality assurance engineers Oversee audits and inspections—internal, external, and customer-led Drive quality outcomes in collaboration with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Finance teams Monitor and report on key quality KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives Embed a culture of accountability, operational discipline, and proactive problem-solving About You

You are a quality-focused professional with strong technical knowledge, leadership experience, and a passion for continuous improvement. What you bring

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Quality Management or a related discipline Significant experience in quality leadership roles in a manufacturing or engineering environment (ideally within the transformer or energy sector) Deep knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and change management skills Experience with power transformer design and manufacturing (up to 330 kV), and knowledge of IEEE, IEC, and FM Global standards (highly regarded) Why Join Us?
