iCare Staffing is proud to be partnering with an independent flexible learning school in the Western suburbs of Melbourne, seeking a Principal to commence in January 2026. This is a part time role working 3 days per week (Monday and Tuesday on campus, Wednesday from home) and will job share with the current Principal. As Co-Principal, you will lead a small, community-based school with a maximum enrolment of 60 students. You will be responsible for school operations, finances, compliance and risk mitigation, learning programs and student welfare, staffing, administration and strategic management, acting as executive officer to the school, school council and the Board and leading the implementation of school policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory authorities.

About You
A current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
A current Working with Children Check
A satisfactory National Criminal History Check
Relevant tertiary qualifications
A teaching degree as the minimum tertiary qualification requirement
Demonstrated previous experience in a leadership role within a school setting; and
A strong understanding and commitment to child safety, equal opportunity and work, health and safety within a school environment.

KSC 1 : Demonstrated experience in effectively managing and leading a school's vision and mission
KSC 2 : Demonstrated experience with strategic planning, policy development and managing risk and compliance
KSC 3 : Demonstrated experience in school governance to ensure that the school's human resources, physical and financial resources are all efficiently allocated and managed.
KSC 4 : Highly developed interpersonal and oral/written communication skills, negotiating, networking and facilitation skills.
KSC 5 : Demonstrated ability to lead and manage student behaviour using trauma informed and restorative practice models
KSC 6 : Demonstrated experience in curriculum design and development, particularly in applied learning
KSC 7 : Demonstrated capacity to develop positive relationships with students/parents/families/carers and the local community and participate in and contribute to system level activities.
