Head of Strategy & Partnerships

An established Australian industrial group with a strong footprint is entering into its next growth phase. Focused on strategic expansion, acquisitions, and market diversification, they are seeking to appoint an executive to strengthen senior-level industry relationships, influence major project opportunities, and support long-term commercial growth across infrastructure and construction sectors.

The Opportunity This is a group-level executive position operating across multiple business entities and growth platforms. You will work closely with the CEO to help translate strategic ambition into commercial reality, strengthening industry influence and identifying where the organisation should play next.

Your focus will be on senior stakeholder engagement, long-term partnership development, and expanding the group’s commercial footprint across established and emerging markets. You will help shape how the business presents its value proposition to infrastructure and construction leaders, ensuring it is positioned early in complex, high-value opportunities.

This role requires commercial maturity, sector credibility, and the ability to operate confidently at executive level across a multi-entity environment.

We Are Looking For Someone From:

Tier 1 or Tier 2 infrastructure contractors

Major civil or building contractors

Large-scale property development groups

Industrial or engineering groups with national footprint

Strategic commercial leadership roles within the infrastructure or construction ecosystem

You Will Bring:

Deep existing relationships within infrastructure and building industries

Credibility with senior executives and project directors

Strong commercial aptitude and strategic thinking capability

Experience operating across complex, multi-entity environments

Confidence influencing at C-suite and board level

The ideal candidate will already be operating in a senior commercial, strategy, or partnerships capacity with executive exposure, rather than leading frontline sales execution.

Key Responsibilities

Own senior-level relationships across infrastructure, construction, and development sectors

Position the group early in opportunities before tender and pricing stages

Strengthen and expand existing commercial relationships across all operating entities

Support the CEO in executing acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic growth initiatives

Help articulate and commercialise the group’s sustainability and circular economy offering

Contribute at executive level to long-term strategic planning

Attractive base salary + vehicle or vehicle allowance

Performance-based incentive linked to group profit above budget

Executive-level influence without corporate bureaucracy
