CASG and NSSG
as a major service provider to
Defence . Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for clients across
Defence
and National Security.
We currently have an opportunity for a
Strategic Business Advisor
in Canberra to work on Joint projects.
What You’ll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including:
Lead CAF16 governance activities , including updates to the IPdMP and PdS, coordination of SAR and IAR inputs, development of the Business Plan, and preparation of bi‑monthly product status reporting.
Manage CAF16 risk obligations , working with the JC2SPO Risk Manager and SMEs to identify, review, and maintain risks within Predict.
Provide secretariat support to the CAF16 Board , including governance framework management, preparation of presentation packs and briefs, minute taking, facilitation of Board activities, and maintenance of Board Terms of Reference.
Engage with AWC and key stakeholders
to strengthen capability outcomes across CAF16 systems and applications.
Support broader organisational needs
by assisting the CAF16 IPdM and Business Manager with organisational design, reviews, and other directed tasks.
What You’ll Bring
Relevant qualifications and certifications , including a bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, commerce, ICT or related fields, project management certification, and SAFe Practitioner accreditation.
Strong Defence‑focused planning and governance capability , with experience writing strategic or business plans, understanding CASG structures, and developing ASDEFCON or engineering/ILS artefacts.
Proven ability to work independently and deliver outcomes , demonstrating initiative, adaptability, and the ability to operate effectively within Defence SPO‑style environments.
Highly developed interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills , able to build strong relationships and navigate complex Defence and industry stakeholder landscapes.
Desirable breadth across complementary disciplines , including cyber security exposure, Agile/DevOps familiarity, workflow and personnel management experience, and the ability to support training and organisational development.
Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum
Negative Vetting 1
or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
