Senior Civil Engineer

Due to organic growth, one of our clients currently requires a land development civil engineer to work on their major projects. This is a full‑time, permanent position based out of one of their Queensland offices, with strong progression opportunities in a highly‑renowned, award‑winning, growing consultancy.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable with creating high quality engineering concept plans, designs and documentation for civil engineering projects from concept to completion. They should have experience with AutoCAD and be able to utilize strong design skills in order to create visual aids. With strong organisational and communication skills, this candidate will also have the ability to execute a project based on the criteria outlined.

Responsibilities

Prepare high quality detailed design, drawings and documentation for civil engineering projects

Schedule own work and oversee work of others from the initial planning stages of the project through to final construction

Interface with the client regarding engineering providing advice and coordinating solutions

Oversee and mentor junior engineers and designers

Ensure HSEQ and other relevant standards are met

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

5+ years of civil engineering experience related to site design, land development, stormwater drainage, sewerage design, concrete design including pre and post‑tensioning or bulk earthworks

Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and 12D

Strong knowledge of govt and Australian standards

Strong organisational, analytical, communication skills and design skills
