Job Description

Overview We’re looking for a hands-on Distribution Centre Manager to lead our Gold Coast based warehouse. The DC Manager is responsible for coordinating and maintaining daily warehouse and transport operations and overseeing strategic warehouse growth projects, including review and implementation of improved safety systems and processes. This role is suited to a leader who can balance people management, daily operational demands, and accountability for results. You’ll be on the floor, visible, supportive, and leading by example.

In 2025 we joined forces with ABL Distribution, an industrial supplier established in 1986, focused on packaging, washroom, adhesive products and more. This role will be working with and leading the ABL Distribution warehouse team, which includes approximately 25 employees in stores and truck driver positions. This position will have a strong and early focus on establishing best practice processes for safety, warehousing and distribution.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee receiving, despatch and stock control

Manage company fleet including scheduling, maintenance, safety, and compliance.

Work with external transport carriers.

Maintain accurate documentation - pallets, freight, consignment notes, dangerous goods, and transport paperwork.

Ensure stock accuracy through stocktakes, cycle counts and regular checks.

Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to, including safety, chain of responsibility and housekeeping standards.

Lead, coach, develop and manage the team.

Identify and drive efficiencies in work processes

Identify and workflow problems or other errors and problem solve.

About You

3+ years’ experience in warehouse or transport operations.

Prior experience in a management or supervisory role.

Strong working knowledge of safety process and procedures.

Great communicator with a practical, solution focused mindset.

Chain of Responsibility understanding.

Current Forklift licence.

Current LO Licence desirable.

Experience with Microsoft BC highly regarded.
