Overview
We are looking for a
Senior Process Engineer
who will be responsible for developing, optimising and implementing process solutions for mineral processing facilities. The role involves conducting feasibility studies and designing process flows to ensure efficiency, sustainability and compliance with industry standards, with occasional site involvement during construction and commissioning.
You will work closely with mechanical, electrical and structural teams and will also mentor junior engineers as part of day to day project delivery.
Your Key Responsibilities
Undertake and contribute to the delivery of process engineering scopes for concept studies, feasibility studies and detailed design across domestic and international projects.
Provide expert technical guidance and review of deliverables such as PFDs, P&IDs, mass and energy balances, equipment sizing, and technical reports.
Drive integration with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, structural) for cohesive project outcomes.
Participate in and guide design reviews, HAZOPs, and risk assessments with a focus on safety, operability, and maintainability.
Ensure the professional development of your team.
Develop and maintain relationships with key clients.
What we're looking for
Bachelor of Chemical, Metallurgical or Minerals Processing Engineering.
10+ years’ engineering experience within hydrometallurgy and/or mineral processing sector.
Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM) membership or equivalent (desirable).
Site experienced who have been involved in project development and/or commissioning.
Previous experience in leadership or management roles.
Expert technical knowledge of process engineering deliverables.
Solid understanding of statutory and industry regulations and HSE practices.
