How you can help make a better world of work
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Full‑Stack Engineer to join the Unified Systems Neighbourhood in our Core Services camp. At the heart of our neighbourhood is a shared mission: to provide a unified user experience to our customers. Working in this role, you will partner closely with product, design, and data peers to deliver user experiences that drive the right behaviours and practices for people and their business.
Our neighbourhood builds the platform experience that underpins Culture Amp’s unified navigation, App Chrome, shared UI/tooling packages, and Home surface—enabling product teams to ship cohesive, accessible, and performant experiences across the platform. Your work will shape core services and the infrastructure behind them (Next.js apps, shared packages, and the APIs they rely on), elevating consistency and speed for every team and customer touchpoint.
As part of this team of amazing humans,
You will
Write clean, scalable, and testable code as a Full‑Stack Engineer (primarily Ruby and React) to deliver seamless, high‑performance frontend interfaces and the APIs that power them.
Own and evolve core foundational systems, including shared libraries, UI components, and the cross‑product services that define our unified platform experiences.
Collaborate through pairing, solution designs, and thoughtful code reviews—documenting your approaches and sharing knowledge via docs, brown bags, and internal posts.
Coach other developers—raising the bar for engineering excellence, observability, and reliability within the team.
Partner with engineers across Core Services to ensure your changes integrate seamlessly and positively impact adjacent domains.
Maintain and support the services your team owns: ensure systems are secure, observable, and performant in production; refactor and improve existing code to better serve customers.
Instrument services (events, metrics, logs, traces) so reporting is trustworthy, privacy‑aware, and actionable.
You have
Experience with Ruby and React—or proficiency in comparable modern languages/frameworks—with the willingness to learn our stack.
A track record building web applications and services with strong fundamentals in data modelling, security, scalability, and maintainability.
Experience working in or around AWS (highly desirable) and modern observability practices.
Hands‑on experience improving existing systems to be simpler, more observable, and more maintainable; bonus if you’ve worked on analytics, event pipelines, or in‑product reporting.
You are
Someone who loves collaboration—our teams are cross‑functional and you’ll work closely with other engineers, delivery leads, product managers, and designers to deliver outcomes together.
Keen to learn and equally keen to share your knowledge. You have a growth mindset and value feedback.
Self‑motivated and comfortable working autonomously. You proactively remove blockers, seek context, and call for support when it’s needed.
We believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our success. We're committed to fostering a work environment that truly cares for and develops its people, and creates lasting positive impact. In addition to providing a competitive compensation package, some of the key benefits we offer are:

Access to external providers for mental wellbeing and coaching support to sustain the wellbeing, safety and development of our people
Monthly Camper Life Allowance: An automatic allowance paid out each month with your pay - you can spend it however you like to help improve your experience and life outside work
Team budgets dedicated to team building activities and connection
Intentional quarterly wellbeing pauses: A quarterly company‑wide shutdown day in each region to collectively pause, reset and focus on restoration and rest, without having to tap into individual vacation time
Extended year‑end breaks: An extended refresh period at the end of year
Excellent parental leave and in‑work support program available from day 1 of joining Culture Amp
5 Social Impact Days a year to make a positive impact on the community outside of work

Medical insurance coverage for you and your family (Available for US & UK only)
Additionally, we don't just focus on our internal community; we believe in creating a better world of work for all. We're committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with Employee Resource Groups and ally communities in place.
