We are looking for an experienced and dynamic

Tax Manager

to join our Finance team and play a key role in delivering strong tax outcomes for legalsuper.

legalsuper is a boutique industry superannuation fund, focused on the legal community. We have a very engaged membership, and we are committed to the delivery of high quality, personalised services to both members and employers.

This position will lead the fund’s end-to-end tax governance, compliance, reporting and advisory activities. You will be responsible for all tax matters across the legalsuper Fund and Trustee company, including income tax, BAS/IAS, GST, FBT and withholding obligations. You’ll also ensure our tax governance and risk management aligns with ATO guidelines, APRA prudential standards, and trustee duties under the SIS Act.

Who we're looking for:

10+ years’ tax experience in superannuation, asset management or Big 4/consulting

Strong background in fund tax returns, investment tax and member tax

Experience with APRA‑regulated super funds (essential)

CA/CPA/CTA qualifications (or equivalent) strongly preferred

Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills

Ability to work independently, manage deadlines and build strong relationships across the business

Experience interpreting regulations and implementing process improvements

Confidence engaging with regulators and external auditors
