Our Gastroenterology and Hepatology Department is seeking to engage a highly reliable Administration Officer to join the team as a Secretary in a permanent part‑time capacity. In this position you will play an important role in supporting the daily operations of the department by providing secretarial and administrative assistance.

Managing correspondence

What You Will Bring To The Role

Demonstrated experience in working in a complex healthcare environment providing secretarial service and support to a large team, at a senior level

Demonstrated high level interpersonal and written communication skills, with proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and maintain confidentiality and discretion

Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office, Windows‑based software including patient databases, preferably iPM as well as HealthRoster. Experience with in‑house databases such as iPM and Vmoney

Demonstrated strong organisational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast‑paced environment and to use initiative to problem‑solve while working effectively in all situations

Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team

Demonstrated ability to learn new processes and provide flexibility in the workplace

Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
