Cyber & AI Technical Lead

Microsoft 365 Copilot Uplift – Cyber & AI Technical Consultant (Contract) Overview We are seeking a Cyber & AI Technical Consultant to support a major Microsoft 365 Copilot uplift project. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the secure and compliant adoption of artificial intelligence capabilities across the Microsoft 365 environment.

You will work closely with project delivery teams and Cyber Security stakeholders to help design and implement the technical and governance controls required to safely enable Microsoft 365 Copilot and related AI services.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically capable professional with a strong background in cyber security and a solid understanding of the AI landscape, who enjoys working across teams and contributing to enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Support the secure implementation of Microsoft 365 Copilot across the organisation.

Act as a technical bridge between the project team and Cyber Security stakeholders.

Provide advice on AI security, data protection, and governance within Microsoft 365.

Assist in designing and implementing controls and policies for responsible AI use.

Contribute to the configuration and management of Microsoft Purview and information protection capabilities.

Provide guidance on SharePoint security, permissions, and advanced management practices.

Identify and manage cyber and data risks associated with AI and Microsoft 365 services.

Participate in workshops, technical discussions, and stakeholder meetings.

Support documentation and technical decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

Skills & Experience

Strong background in Cyber Security, information security, or technical consulting.

Good understanding of the artificial intelligence landscape, particularly in enterprise environments.

Experience working with Microsoft 365 security and governance tools, including Microsoft Purview.

Solid experience in SharePoint administration and management.

Experience supporting or delivering Microsoft 365 uplift or transformation projects.

Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Comfortable working in a project-based environment with multiple teams.

Exposure to Microsoft 365 Copilot or AI enablement initiatives.

Experience with data governance, compliance, and information protection frameworks.

Background working in government or large enterprise organisations.

Certifications in Microsoft, Cyber Security, or Cloud technologies.
