Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in planning, managing, and delivering engineering projects from concept to detail design including procurement of major long leads. You will principally coordinate all engineering & procurement, early contractor involvement and project controls to ensure safe, efficient, and successful project outcomes.
Roster
5 Days on and 2 Days off Monday to Friday at our Milton office with travel to Australasia sites as required.
Responsibilities
Maintain project schedules, documentation, and reporting across design & procurement, phases.
Engage with stakeholders and lead early contractor involvement, operational readiness and commissioning
Plan and forecast project budgets and timelines to ensure delivery to scope, schedule, and cost targets.
Monitor compliance with industry codes, standards, quality assurance processes, and performance requirements.
Coordinate and review engineering activities, project criteria, and implementation of project elements.
Administer engineering activities, including critical path analysis.
Lead engineering and design development for major projects, including coordination with external engineering consultants.
Conduct package-level risk analyses across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Integrate subcontractor, supplier, and service provider schedules into the overall portfolio program.
Monitor and report on project progress, recommending corrective actions where required.
Attend site as needed to support project delivery.
Manage and review consultant deliverables.
Collaborate with the Project Procurement Team on procurement and expediting activities.
Ensure PEMS (project execution and management system) governance is adhered.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 15 years’ project management or project engineering experience (scope, schedule, cost & quality).
Minimum 10 years’ experience in the mining industry.
Experience in project scheduling, WBS development, and project controls.
Strong package/area management experience (EI&C, SMP, C&E)
Proven computer platform and systems capability.
Experience managing full project lifecycle activities.
Multidiscipline engineering and construction experience
