Executive Director - Finance & Business Services, Kingswood College
Established in 1890 and set across 20 acres with over 200 heritage‑listed trees, Kingswood College is proudly multicultural, aspirational and future‑focused. With approximately 650 students and 160 staff, the College is in the second year of its ambitious 2025–2029 Strategic Plan, anchored in five pillars: Bold Expectations, Exceptional Staff, Strong Connections, Future Ready and Sustainable Legacy. A bold 50‑Year Master Plan is now underway, positioning the College to invest wisely in facilities that elevate learning, wellbeing and community connection.
The Executive Director – Finance & Business Services reports directly to the Principal and serves as chief financial and business officer, providing strategic leadership across finance, business operations, risk, compliance, facilities and governance.
The role partners closely with the Principal and Board, translating strategy into long‑range financial planning, enterprise risk management and capital development. Overseeing finance, facilities, compliance and business services teams, the Director builds capability, strengthens systems and drives performance, ensuring the College achieves its targeted EBITDA growth and delivers major Master Plan initiatives with integrity and precision.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to:
Lead complex financial strategy, budgeting and reporting systems for continuous improvement.
Proactively advise the Principal, College Executive and Council on governance, compliance and business operations, using accurate data, evidence and research‑based information.
Role model a high‑performing, service‑oriented culture that values personal growth and excellence.
With strong commercial acumen, deliver capital works and master planning projects on time and budget.
Shape enterprise risk, compliance and WHS frameworks with rigour and foresight.
Offered as a five‑year executive contract commencing at a mutually agreeable time (by negotiation), applicants must have the right to work in Australia, hold tertiary qualifications in a related field (e.g. Finance, Company Secretary) and be currently accredited with CPA, CA, AGIA and ACIS or equivalent association.
