About the role This is an exciting opportunity to join Wilmour Motors' as the General Manager.

As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of the business and driving its strategic direction. You will be a key member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the Dealer Principal and playing a vital role in the future of the company. This is a full‑time position based in Maffra, Victoria.

What you’ll be doing

Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the company's goals and objectives

Oversee all aspects of the business operations, including finance, HR, marketing, and sales

Lead and manage a team of talented professionals to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of products and services

Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities to drive growth and profitability

Represent the company externally and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and industry partners

Ensure the company's compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards

Develop and implement policies and procedures to support the company's operations and culture

What we’re looking for

Proven track record of successful leadership experience in a similar role, preferably within the automotive industry

A minimum of 2-3 years of leadership experience in a similar General Manager role is required

Automotive industry experience is mandatory for this position

Extensive knowledge of the automotive industry, including market trends, competitive landscape, and best practices

Strong financial acumen and the ability to interpret and utilise financial data to make informed decisions

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders

Proven problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, with the ability to think strategically and identify innovative solutions

Demonstrated experience in managing and developing high‑performing teams

Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as business, management, or engineering
