Make Your Mark on Victoria’s Water Future
This year is a pivotal year for WSP’s Water Business Group. With major long‑term programs underway nationally and major pursuits on Victoria, we’re creating space for an Associate or Principal Structural Engineer with strong experience in designing water‑retaining structures to join our Water Utilities team.

About the Role
In this role, you’ll lead or support the structural engineering scope across multidisciplinary water infrastructure projects of varying size and complexity. Your technical expertise will guide the planning, design and delivery of innovative, practical and durable structural solutions.
You will:
Manage structural design for pipelines, sewer networks, pump stations and water‑retaining structures
Provide structural input for proposals and support business development
Drive integration of Digital Engineering and BIM‑based coordination
Undertake condition assessments, reviews and design verifications
Apply Safety‑in‑Design principles and maintain compliance with OHS&E and quality requirements
Mentor junior engineers and graduates, strengthening capability within the team
About You
Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
10+ years of structural engineering experience, including 5+ years in the water sector
RPV / RPEQ registration; Chartered status
Strong background in reinforced concrete, structural steel and water‑retaining structures aligned to Australian Standards
Confident managing projects from concept through detailed design
Excellent communicator with strong client engagement and technical reporting skills
Demonstrated commitment to safety, environmental responsibility and quality
