Primary Objective The Chief Medical Officer provides senior system level leadership in the portfolios of Medical Workforce, Medical Education and Training, Research Governance, and Clinical Governance, as well as professional leadership for the medical workforce across NT Health, including the Regional Health Services. The Chief Medical Officer provides strategic leadership to the Rural Generalist Coordination Unit, Prevocational Medical Assurance Services, Clinical Innovation and Research Unit and the Restrictive Practices Authorisation Unit. The Senior Medical Advisor supports Chief Medical Officer Office functions, provides strategic advice, collaboratively develops policy and ensures translation of policy into practice through contemporary, evidence-based implementation approaches. The Senior Medical Advisor role also offers flexibility to continue clinical practice, research or other interests and portfolio-based, part-time applications are encouraged.
