About the role Helfie is seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to join our rapidly expanding organisation. As part of our Architecture team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the design and implementation of enterprise solutions across cloud‑native and hybrid environments. Reporting directly to the Chief Architect, you will ensure that our technology landscape is scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals as we enter a phase of accelerated growth.

Key responsibilities

Design and document end‑to‑end solutions spanning cloud‑native, hybrid, and on‑premises environments.

Translate complex business requirements into secure, scalable, and cost‑effective architectures.

Define architectural blueprints, technology roadmaps, and reference architectures.

Technical Leadership

Provide technical guidance to engineering and delivery teams during solution design and implementation.

Champion best practices in cloud adoption, microservices, APIs, and integration strategies.

Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations to support innovation and scalability.

Work closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to align solutions with business objectives.

Contribute to architecture governance processes, ensuring compliance with security, regulatory, and operational standards.

Collaborate with stakeholders to create repeatable solution patterns that accelerate delivery.

Strategic Impact

Support the Chief Architect in shaping the organisation’s enterprise architecture strategy.

Drive adoption of modern approaches such as DevOps, containerisation, and event‑driven systems.

Enable business growth through resilient, high‑performance architectures that adapt to market demand.

Skills & experience

Proven experience as a Solution Architect or equivalent technical leadership role.

Expertise in cloud‑native architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid IT environments.

Strong background in infrastructure as code (IaC), container platforms (Kubernetes, Docker), and CI/CD.

Familiarity with integration patterns, APIs, microservices, and messaging platforms.

Strong understanding of security‑by‑design principles, compliance frameworks, and risk management.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex solutions to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Prior experience in high‑growth or transformation environments is highly desirable.

Additionally you will have

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, GCP Professional Cloud Architect) preferred.
