Job Description High School Principal, 2026-2027 School Year

Salary negotiable depending on experience (12-month contract)

Position Requirements Texas Principal Certificate ILD or AEL Training and T‑TESS Training

Preferred Qualifications Three years' experience as a secondary campus principal, district-level administrator or secondary campus assistant principal

Special Knowledge & Skills

Working knowledge of Curriculum and Instruction

Ability to evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness to improve campus performance

Ability to manage campus budget and personnel

Ability to coordinate campus functions & organize work responsibilities

Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data

Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of UIL rules & regulations

Knowledge of human resources/supervisory practices

Knowledge of special and federal programs

Ability to work occasional prolonged and irregular hours

Timeline Committee interviews will be conducted in early April. Anticipated hire date is the April 20, 2026 board meeting. Anticipated start date is Summer 2026.
