Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Consultant to join the Women’s & Children’s department for a fixed term period.
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub‑acute, mental health, specialist, community and home‑based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our six main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.
About the Role
An opportunity exists for an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist Consultant to join the team at Northern Health in a fixed term fractional capacity. You will be required to work across all our facilities and be prepared to cover Birth Suite on call opportunities.
This position is fixed term part time (50.62 hours per fortnight) until June 2026.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Registered or eligible for registration as a medical practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner’s Regulation Agency (AHPRA), in the relevant specialty with no conditions, undertakings or reprimands.
Hold a Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) or an equivalent higher specialist qualification.
Undergraduate medical qualification as a first degree is essential – MBBS, MD, PhD or equivalent.
